Hi, my name is María Teresa but people call me Mara. I'm a Venezuelan who has been based in Spain since 2012. I've been a photographer, a dance filmmaker and a graphic designer; most of my design and film experience was built in designing specifically for theater and dance companies.

My background as a theater actress and a contemporary dancer has led me to understand photography and filmmaking through the lens of a former performer, so I see editing as a choreography in itself, and the creative process as an inevitable act of collaboration.

I am a Programming Coordinator for a Collective of Independent Film Festivals in Atlanta, Georgia.

My latest project is called CURIOSA, the Monthly Short Film Showcase of Granada Spain.
